Preliminary preparations for wire voltage:

  1. Reserve a set of wires (zero wire, live wire, ground wire) in the top corner glass slot in advance, and pull the other end of the wire to the position where the controller needs to be placed. In order to achieve harmony and unity with the environment, it is necessary to reserve a good circuit in the early stage of construction, and it is recommended to reserve two wires of more than 1 square meter.

  1. The upper groove depth of the glass groove is 20mm. The groove width is reserved according to the thickness of the glass, plus 5mm, such as: 5+5 glass can be left 15mm, 6+6 glass can be left 17mm. Pay attention to waterproof and moisture-proof, to avoid the change of groove width due to water absorption.
  2. The dimming glass generally uses a voltage of 48V or 60V. The glass accessories use a specific internal integrated transformer. The controller can be placed on the ceiling. In order to facilitate later maintenance, the transformer can be placed at the inspection port of the ceiling, and the reserved wires can be inspected and repaired. Mouth passed.

Note: If it is made of an aluminum profile, there is no need to make a groove, and the material can be selected according to the thickness of the glass.

Dimming glass installation:

  1. Before installation: use an electric pen to check whether the reserved wires are energized, if there is electricity, cut off the power supply, and carry out the construction work in a power-off environment to ensure the safety of the construction personnel during the installation process.
  2. Check whether it is connected to the transformer, and then install the glass after connection. Cut the reserved wire from the middle position and connect it to the transformer. (Prevent forgetting to connect the transformer.)
  3. Wiring: Connect to the electrode wire of the dimming glass. Connect the red wire on the glass to the red wire of the reserved wire, and then connect the black wire (blue wire) on the glass to the position of the black wire on the reserved wire, and connect the other end of the reserved wire to the output terminal interface of the transformer.

  1. After connection, check whether the line is connected properly, and power on to test whether the glass can be normally transparent and atomized.

Intelligent dimming glass control switch

Point 1: The control switch can be connected to a wall switch, remote control switch, voice control switch, travel switch, or connected to the system, which is controlled by a computer or mobile phone. The use of the switch must be explained to the manufacturer to reserve the control interface.

Point 2: The output voltage of 60V is directly connected to the wires at both ends of the glass, regardless of the positive and negative poles.

Point 3: The frame (aluminum profile, stainless steel, etc.) needs to drill small holes at a suitable position above each piece of glass to facilitate the connection of wires. The door can set the outlet position on the door shaft, hinge, corner edge.

Note:

One: The size of the glass affects the position of the electrode (conducting copper strip). It is recommended to provide glass size consulting technical staff. Common electrodes are the top electrode, long-side electrode, bilateral electrode, and so on.

Two: The dimming glass must be installed away from the paint.

The paint contains organic volatile small molecules such as benzene. Benzene will directly corrode EVA and cause cracking. If the door and window factory must spray paint, pay attention to the following points:

  1. Spray paint before installing the laminated glass, and when the window is open for ventilation, allow the paint to be fully cured before installing the laminated glass.
  2. Never apply or spray paint while installing laminated glass on site. Laminated glass will be corroded in this way.
  3. It is not allowed to spray paint after applying EVA special glue, because silicone glass glue cannot prevent the penetration of benzene and other organic volatiles, and these organic volatiles have very strong penetrating power. Even if the EVA special glue is cured, the benzene in the paint will still penetrate and cause the laminated glass to open.

Three: Do not mix special glue for dimming glass with ordinary glass glue

  1. Many neutral glass glues on the market contain white oil and plasticizers. Such organic volatiles will be directly absorbed by the EVA film, causing the glue to open. If this glue is used, it will react directly.
  2. In a relative space, if EVA special glue and ordinary glass glue are used at the same time, the organic volatiles released into the air when the ordinary glass glue is cured will still penetrate into the laminated glass, causing problems such as degumming and bubbles.
  3. Common problems. Customers only use EVA special glue at the center seam of the laminated glass, and use ordinary glass glue on the back of the glass or around other adjacent metal frames. This causes numerous open glue accidents.

4: Pay attention to the pollution of decoration materials such as non-environmental protection panels.

Non-environmental-friendly boards contain a large amount of organic volatiles such as formaldehyde and benzene. The installation site must be opened for ventilation to minimize the concentration of irritating smells on site. Reduce the chance of cross-contamination of EVA laminated glass.

Four: Do not use glass glue based on installation experience

Based on years of experience, some engineering companies believe that it is no problem to use a certain brand of ordinary neutral glass glue for a certain laminated glass project or several laminated glass projects, and use this glass glue for different laminated glass projects, causing problems with the opening.
